| Bio: | I'm twenty-six years old, formerly an English teacher, now a "documentation specialist," basically a copy editor/tech writer. So, instead of correcting kids' grammatical errors, I do the same for adults. The adults listen much better. I work for a company that does web-based training. In addition to copy editing, I also check over the final courses and make sure that they work correctly and match up with the original template. I've also been writing technical manuals and some courseware. I'm working on my master's degree: English with a concentration in Technical Communication. I live in Maryland now, having moved down from PA a couple years ago. I'm enjoying the better-paved and better-marked roads, and I'm still occasionally amazed by the fact that you can buy hard liquor at many grocery stores. Not so in Pennsylvania. I also mercilessly mock anyone who complains about the winter weather down here. Still working on acclimating to the hot summers--you'd think Pennsic would've done that for me. More interestingly, I'm a sci-fi/fantasy junkie, a Scadian, a writer, a daydreamer, a Christian and a hopeless romantic. In the SCA, my current main interest is fighting. I authorized a little while ago and have become thoroughly addicted. I'm also just getting into calligraphy and trying to do more with garb. I'm into RPGs, especially D&D, but I've also been having a blast playing Multiverser, a little-known system in which you play yourself. Instead of creating a new character when you die, you just get bounced into another world and start over, with all the stuff and all the skills you've gained in the last world. He's a computer programmer, our barony's new webmaster, and living proof that geeks are sexy. His other hobbies include playing Lego Star Wars, fixing stuff, and being a smartass. Although we just got married in July of 06, we've been together since September of 2002. We met at Ursinus through the college SCA group and a couple mutual friends. I don't list my instant messaging accounts on my profile for all to see, but am on MSN Messenger and occasionally AIM.
